DKS To Take Cabinet Beyond Bengaluru, Plans 10-12 Meetings Across State

MANGALURU: Cabinet meetings will no longer be restricted to state capital Bengaluru, with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday announcing plans to hold 10 to 12 such meetings across Karnataka over the next 15 months. The move is to understand regional needs and push development across the state.
Replying to a question on whether his Cabinet meetings would be held in other districts after the first-ever such meeting in Mangaluru, Shivakumar said the government wanted to reach different parts of the state.
“We will go all over the state. We want to see the entire state, wherever there is potential and wherever there is a need. Every part of Karnataka is important to us,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the government’s objective was to build a “Samagra Karnataka, Samruddha Karnataka” — an integrated and prosperous Karnataka — with development reaching all regions.
“Our goal is to develop the state in all places. We have a commitment. We do not do politics on emotions. We work on people’s lives,” he said.
