District Authorities Clear And Demarcate 11.59 Acres Of Government Land In Ballari

Officials said the 11.59-acre land in Survey No 348 belongs to the Karnataka government and action was initiated to re-establish and protect government ownership over the property.

Ballari: The Ballari district administration on Wednesday continued its crackdown on encroachments of government land by launching a clearance and demarcation drive at Ashok Nagar in Bhuvanagiri Colony under Ballari Rural limits.

Officials said the 11.59-acre land in Survey No 348 belongs to the Karnataka government and action was initiated to re-establish and protect government ownership over the property. Earthmovers were pressed into service to level the land and mark the boundaries of the property.

After clearing the land authorities installed signboards at the site cautioning against illegal occupation of government land.

The district administration stated that it would continue action against encroachments on valuable government properties and warned that stringent legal measures would be initiated against violators.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammed N Zubair, Assistant Commissioner Rajesh HD and Tahsildar T Rekha along with revenue and police department personnel.
