Mangaluru: JD(S) Youth Wing president Nikhil Kumaraswamy on Sunday demanded that the alleged secret burial case be handed over to a central investigation agency to ensure transparency and justice.
Addressing devotees at Amritavarshini Hall as part of the Dharmasthala Sathya Yatre, Nikhil said that continuous rumours and false propaganda had caused pain to crores of devotees across the country and abroad and created an atmosphere of fear and confusion.
Expressing his family’s devotion to Lord Manjunatha, Nikhil assured moral support to bring out the truth in the case. He praised Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade for his patience, restraint and commitment to public welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade defined the love, trust and respect of crores of devotees across India and abroad are Dharmasthala’s greatest wealth and strength.
“This is invaluable and cannot be measured or priced,” he said.
He emphasised that utmost caution and vigilance are always maintained at Dharmasthala to ensure that no untoward incident occurs.
Meanwhile speaking to reporters Dakshina Kannada district in charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao alleged BJP of unnecessarily politicizing the Dharmasthala case and trying to tarnish the image of the government.
He said that the government is confident of SIT probing the truth in the case.
