Boy Kills Friend to Death After Quarrel in Hubballi
Shocking juvenile crime in Kamaripet police limits; accused sent to Balamandir after JJB appearance
In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by his 11-year-old friend following a quarrel in the Kamaripet police station limits on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Chetan. The accused, also a juvenile and a neighbour of the victim, has been taken into custody by the police.
According to officials, the two boys were known to play together regularly. On Monday, a minor argument between them reportedly escalated. In a fit of rage, the 11-year-old went home, fetched a knife, and stabbed Chetan. Chetan sustained serious injuries and was rushed to KMC-RI Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the facility.
Speaking to the media, Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar described the incident as deeply disturbing and urged parents to be vigilant about their children's behaviour and emotional health. A case has been registered at Kamaripet Police Station. The accused was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and has been sent to the Balamandir. Further investigation is underway.
