AP Man Arrested In Raichur, Stolen Gold Worth Rs 7.2 Lakh Recovered

RAICHUR: Raichur West police have arrested a man from Andhra Pradesh, Govindarajulu Dommara, and recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 7.2 lakh while investigating a house burglary reported last year. Police said he was a native of Kurnool district.

Police said the burglary had taken place at a house in Prashanth Colony in Raichur, Karnataka, on April 7, last year. Police tracked down the accused and recovered a 25-gram gold necklace worth about Rs 4.5 lakh, allegedly stolen in the Raichur burglary case. The police also recovered a 15-gram gold chain worth Rs 2.7 lakh that was allegedly linked to another theft case registered at Netajinagar police station.
