YSRC Demands Deployment of Central Forces
He alleged that TDP-backed elements were allowed to take the law into their own hands, while the police remained mute spectators.
Kurnool:The YSR Congress has demanded the deployment of Central forces in Andhra Pradesh, alleging a surge in politically motivated violence and arson across the state.
Speaking to the media in Kurnool on Monday, YSRC district president S.V. Mohan Reddy said the attacks on the houses of party leaders Ambati Rambabu and Jogi Ramesh exposed the “vindictive politics” of the ruling coalition. He alleged that TDP-backed elements were allowed to take the law into their own hands, while the police remained mute spectators.
The six-hour-long attacks, involving petrol bombs and prior planning, reflected a breakdown of law and order, he said, adding that such incidents could not have occurred without approval from higher-ups.
