Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has said Amaravati “will emerge as a world-class capital, an architectural wonder.” It, he said, would not remain a concrete jungle, but stand as a symbol of accountability and democracy.

“Praises to the farmers of the capital for not only giving land for the capital projects, but also giving the state a future,” he said.

He spoke about the plight of farmers in Amaravati, saying they endured five years of “suffering and brutality.”

He characterized Amaravati as a hub that impacts the lives of the state’s all five crore people and praised Prime Minister Modi for treating the nation as “his family”.

The DCM thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving his precious time to come here and start the capital reconstruction work even in difficult circumstances that followed the Pahalgam terror attack.

Pawan said, “Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya's 1237th birth anniversary is today. It is a source of joy that the work of Amaravati is about to resume on such an auspicious day.

He called Narendra Modi as Aniket as he had spent a part of his life in a hermitage in the past. “Aniket means the Supreme Lord Shiva, who has no home or family. Modi came here taking the responsibility of building the capital for so many crore families who have no home or family.”

Pawan said, “Under the leadership of Narendra Modi and Chandrababu Naidu, Amaravati will grow into a world-class capital. Our youths will in future not have to go to cities like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. They would get job opportunities here itself.”

The DCM stated, ”The Pahalgam terror attack was an attack on the entire country. I thank Modi for taking the time to come to Amaravati even at this difficult time. Let us pray that our Kanaka Durgamma blesses him and gives him strength."
