Visakhapatnam: The Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam has announced the birth of multiple animals and birds. The new arrivals, including six emu chicks, one black swan cygnet, two sambar deer, two nilgai and three black bucks, have been carefully monitored by the zoo's veterinary team.

In a demonstration of modern zoo management practices, both the black swan and emu eggs were incubated using specially designed artificial incubators. These devices maintained optimal temperature and humidity levels, which are essential for successful development.

The black swan cygnet and emu chicks remain under close veterinary supervision as they navigate the crucial early stages of life, with staff carefully monitoring their growth and health.

"These births mark a major milestone in the zoo's ongoing efforts in conservation breeding and species management," said zoo curator Mangamma.

"The successful hatching of these birds and animals not only contributes to maintaining healthy populations, but also highlights the importance of artificial incubation and veterinary intervention in modern zoo management practices," she further added.
