"Traffic police personnel work in the sun and thus we have provided AC helmets to provide relief to those working in challenging conditions," she said.

The minister further criticised the previous government, stating that it had weakened the police department and after the formation of the coalition government in the state, special attention was paid to the welfare of the police.

The AC helmets are made by incorporating Active Cooling Technology from polypropylene co-polymer that keeps temperatures 8 degrees lower than the surrounding environment.
