Vizag Officials Review Arrangements For Simhachalam Giri Pradakshina

Visakhapatnam: District officials on Tuesday reviewed arrangements for the annual Simhachalam Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Giri Pradakshina, scheduled to be held on July 28, with lakhs of devotees expected to participate.

District collector M. Abhishek Kishore, along with Visakhapatnam city police commissioner Shankha Brata Bagchi, GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg and other senior officials, inspected the 32-km Giri Pradakshina route from Lumbini Park through Seethammadhara, Madhavadhara, NSTL, Gosala and Tholi Pavanch.

The collector directed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for drinking water, toilets, medical services, street lighting, parking, control rooms, CCTV surveillance, public address systems, signboards, waste collection vehicles, ambulances and sanitation along the route.

He also inspected the Tholi Pavanch area and instructed officials to provide proper queue management, RTC bus diversions, parking facilities and other amenities for devotees.
