Vizag: NEET Aspirant Allegedly Commits Suicide In Gajuwaka

Visakhapatnam: A NEET aspirant allegedly committed suicide at a coaching centre in Gajuwaka on Friday. As per details shared by South Zone CI Vasu Naidu the student identified as Rupesh (19), son of Ramesh and Srilakshmi from Anakapalli, joined a private coaching centre at Old Gajuwaka for NEET long-term coaching. He used to come from Anakapalli every day to the coaching centre.
He came to the coaching centre as usual on Friday too. Fellow students noticed that he looked depressed during lunch and later left saying that he would come back after paying the fees.
Police said that he had reached the third floor and jumped from there. Rupesh was seriously injured and was rushed to a private hospital in Gajuwaka, but succumbed died while undergoing treatment.
The CI said that they retrieved the deceased's mobile phone, and found through the search history that he had looked up on the internet on how to commit suicide before taking the extreme step.
Police also discovered empty strips of epilepsy medication in the deceased's bag. The Circle Inspector (CI) said that no complaint has been filed by the victim's parents so far, and that further details are being gathered. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered.
