Venkaiah Swamy Aradhana Mahotsavams To Begin at Golagamudi

Week-long festivities from August 18 to 24 expected to draw three lakh devotees

Nellore: The annual Aradhana Mahotsavams of Bhagawan Sri Venkaiah Swamy will be held at Golagamudi in Venkatachalam mandal from August 18 to 24, with the ashram committee appointed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court making elaborate arrangements to accommodate an expected three lakh devotees.

The week-long festivities at the Bhagawan Sri Venkaiah Swamy Ashram will feature special religious programmes, cultural events and traditional performances.

To cater to the large gathering, the ashram has made arrangements for 275 rooms and four dormitories spread over 50,000 sq ft. Drinking water facilities have been provided at all key locations, while annadanam will be served to devotees during designated afternoon and night hours.

Special queue arrangements have been made for devotees visiting the Samadhi Mandir to ensure smooth and hassle-free darshan.

The Swamy’s vahana seva will be conducted every day at 10 am and 9 pm during the celebrations. Bhajans and Kolatam performances during the vahana seva will be organised by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

Cultural programmes organised by the Nellore-based Kaladeepti organisation will be held every day from August 18 to 22 at 7.30 p.m. Mythological plays by state-level artistes will be staged at 9 p.m. on August 18, 23 and 24.

The concluding day on August 24 will feature a series of major events. Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and his wife will offer silk clothes to Sri Venkaiah Swamy at 9 a.m., followed by the grand Rathotsavam at 10 a.m. The celebrations will conclude with the Teppotsavam at 8 p.m.

The ashram committee has appealed to devotees to cooperate with the arrangements and follow the designated queues and timings during the festivities.
