Union Budget to Strengthen Viksit Bharat Vision: Dinakar
He expressed confidence that the forthcoming Budget would accelerate national development while maintaining transparency and fiscal discipline
Vijayawada:Lanka Dinakar, chairman of the Twenty Point Programme Implementation, on Friday said the Union Budget for 2026–27 would strengthen the vision of Viksit Bharat through inclusive growth driven by Nari Shakti, swadeshi initiatives and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
In a statement released, Dinakar said the Budget was being presented under the leadership of Narendra Modi and would lay a strong foundation for sustained economic growth. He noted that Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman was presenting her ninth consecutive Budget, reflecting policy continuity and economic stability.
Dinakar said projections by global institutions estimating India’s growth at 7.8 per cent underscored the strength of the country’s economic fundamentals.
He criticised the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi, saying their remarks on economic growth, currency depreciation and public debt did not reflect ground realities. He asserted that inflation had been kept under control, household incomes had diversified into higher-yield investments, and public debt ratios were declining after peaking during the COVID-19 period.
Highlighting government achievements, Dinakar cited increased capital expenditure, expansion of highways, rail electrification, direct benefit transfers and flagship schemes in agriculture, drinking water, health and social security.
He expressed confidence that the forthcoming Budget would accelerate national development while maintaining transparency and fiscal discipline.
