Two Workers Fall To Death While Installing Roof Sheets
The incident occurred when the workers were climbing a ladder to install cement roofing sheets.
TIRUPATI: Two workers died while undergoing treatment at the S.V.R. Ruia government general hospital in Tirupati after falling from a height of around 30 feet at P.R. Rolling Company in Gajulamandyam Industrial Estate in the Tirupati district on Thursday.
The incident occurred when the workers were climbing a ladder to install cement roofing sheets. The sheets broke under their weight, causing both workers to fall to the ground one after the other. They were shifted to Ruia Hospital for treatment but succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased were identified as Madhamani Veera Venkata Gopal (29), a native of Kondavari Veedhi in Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district, and Arman (37), a native of Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Gajulamandyam police registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
