Two Killed in Bike Crash on Vizag Beach Road

Visakhapatnam: Two persons died on the spot when their motorcycle hit a divider and then an electric pole on Bheemili Beach Road between Yerramatti Dibbalu and INS Kalinga in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Gangiri Kushal Kumar (32), a manager at Tech Mahindra, and his friend Shaik Tausif (27), a resident of Prakasam district.

According to police, Kushal Kumar was riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle with Tausif as pillion rider when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The bike first hit the road divider and then crashed into an electric pole, causing severe head and body injuries.

Both victims died on the spot due to the impact. Police shifted the bodies to the Bheemunipatnam Community Health Centre mortuary for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered and investigation is under way to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.

Police suspect overspeeding or loss of control as the possible reasons behind the mishap.
