Two Days On, No FIR Filed In Attack On My House: Prasanna Kumar Reddy
“We have submitted video evidence. What more do the police need to register a case”: YSRC leader Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy
NELLORE: No case has been registered even two days after the violent attack on my residence despite a formal complaint, alleged former MLA and YSRC leader Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy, raising serious questions about police inaction and possible political interference.
Addressing the media, Prasanna Kumar Reddy expressed his deep concern over the delay and demanded an impartial and immediate investigation. “We have submitted video evidence. What more do the police need to register a case,” he asked.
Reiterating that he had not absconded, Prasanna Kumar Reddy said, “I carry the blood of Nallapureddy Srinivasulu Reddy. I do not run, I do not hide and I do not fear.”
The YSRC former MLA said he had briefly visited Chennai for medical treatment after the July 7 attack and returned. He said, in his absence, a smear campaign began alleging that he had fled.
Prasanna Kumar Reddy said he would be at his home and ready to cooperate with authorities, even offering to be arrested if required. He alleged that four political leaders were behind the attack and demanded that police act on the complaint without bias. “Let law take its course. But the delay is unacceptable,” he said.
The incident and the lack of police response have drawn public attention, sparking debate over the role of law enforcement in politically sensitive matters.
