Two Arrested For Motorcycle Theft In Srikakulam District

VISAKHAPATNAM: Srikakulam district police have arrested two individuals in connection with motorcycle thefts that occurred in the Kasibugga sub-division earlier this month.

The first incident occurred on August 14, when D. Suresh of Tekkali Patnam village, Palasa mandal, discovered his motorcycle missing.

Suresh had parked his bike in front of his house along the roadside near a park the previous night. When he went to check on it the next morning, the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

The second theft took place on August 18, where M. Dilliswara Rao of Mendapeta village, Gara mandal.

Dilliswara Rao had borrowed his elder brother's Pulsar motorcycle and parked it near Malleswara Rao Hospital in Kasibugga while running errands.

Upon returning, he found the motorcycle had been stolen. Both victims filed complaints at the Kasibugga police station.

The arrested individuals have been identified as A-1 Kaviti Niklesha and A-2 Tummala Karthik.

According to DSP Appa Rao, the two are close friends who studied together until 10th standard at Kesava Reddy School in Srikakulam town. Both had habits, such as drinking, using marijuana, and gambling online.

The two suspects were apprehended during a routine police check conducted by Kasibugga police.
