TTD Asks SVBC To Develop Innovative Spiritual Programmes
He stressed that there should be no compromise on quality and called for more programmes combining devotion with meaningful and informative content.
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer Muddada Ravichandra has directed Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) officials to develop innovative and high-quality spiritual programmes to strengthen the devotional connect of Lord Venkateswara’s devotees across the world.
Reviewing the channel’s daily broadcasts and future programming along with TTD joint executive officer Dr A. Sarath on Friday, Ravichandra said the programmes should explain the significance of Tirumala’s temples, mandapams, prakarams, sacred water bodies, sub-shrines and Srivari prasadam in a simple and easily understandable manner. He said the channel should effectively showcase Tirumala’s spiritual heritage and the glory of Lord Venkateswara.
Noting that SVBC is watched by lakhs of devotees worldwide, the executive officer said every programme should be engaging enough to retain viewers until the end. He stressed that there should be no compromise on quality and called for more programmes combining devotion with meaningful and informative content.
He also reviewed the programmes currently being telecast and instructed officials to introduce more innovative spiritual content based on the interests of devotees.
Earlier, SVBC chief executive officer and TTD joint executive officer Dr A. Sarath briefed the executive officer on the channel’s ongoing programmes. He said the ‘Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja’ programme, launched with the support of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, had received a positive response and would be expanded to the village level.
Sarath also said preparations were underway to organise spiritual, religious and cultural performances by leading artistes from across the country during the annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams.
