Tribals Protest Delay in Issuance of Form 46 Notices
Residents of Pedagaruvu, Patha Losingi and Kotha Losingi villages, under Losingi Revenue limits in Rolugunta mandal, gathered at the Sarpavaram Secretariat office and expressed concern over the delay.
Visakhapatnam: Members of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) Kondu Adivasi community from three villages in Anakapalli district staged a protest on Friday, demanding immediate issuance of Form 46 notices following a government re-survey conducted in March.
Residents of Pedagaruvu, Patha Losingi and Kotha Losingi villages, under Losingi Revenue limits in Rolugunta mandal, gathered at the Sarpavaram Secretariat office and expressed concern over the delay.
The protesters said that although three months had elapsed since the re-survey, notices under Section 9(2) of the Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, had not been issued. They said the notices are required to provide details recorded in survey registers and enable landowners to file objections before the Tahsildar within the stipulated period.
The villagers alleged that the delay had created uncertainty over their land rights and raised concerns about the protection of their ancestral lands.
Tribal leaders Kondatambali Venkatrao, Kondapambula Sattibabu and Kilo Mahesh led the protest. They warned that the agitation would be intensified if the notices were not issued within a week.
The protesters said they would approach the Public Grievances Redressal Centre if their demand remained unresolved, seeking transparency and timely action in land administration matters.
