Vijayawada: In line with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s directives, the Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority (DMA) is set to launch training programmes for field-level officials on disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. MD of DMA Ronanki Kurmanath, emphasised the need for these programmes to enhance officials' abilities across all levels, from state to field staff, in managing disasters.

The training will cover pre-disaster preparedness, response during disasters, and post-disaster recovery, with a focus on incorporating technology. A meeting with line department officials was held to develop these training modules, which are expected to begin in the first week of December.
