Tirumala police prevent Telangana youth’s suicide bid

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Two Town Police rescued a 25-year-old man from Hyderabad who attempted to die by suicide early Monday morning.
G. Muni Satvik, a resident of Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad, climbed to the third floor of Kalyani Choultry in Tirumala between 3.45 am and 4 am and called his sister, saying he was going to jump. His sister, Swarna Rekha, immediately contacted Tirumala police after searching for the number online.
Police reached the spot within ten minutes, found Satvik on the terrace, and safely restrained him. Observing signs of mental distress, they shifted him to Ashwini Hospital. Doctors confirmed his condition required psychiatric care. He was later referred to SVIMS Hospital for further treatment and handed over to his relative Naresh, who had accompanied him to Tirumala four days earlier.
