Three Killed in Highway Crash at Baruva Junction

Visakhapatnam: Three people were killed in a road accident at Baruva Junction in Sompeta mandal of Srikakulam district on the national highway on Saturday. The mishap involved a lorry and a car.

According to the police, the accident occurred when the lorry driver attempted to avoid a motorcycle approaching from the opposite direction. In the process, the lorry went out of control and rammed into a car.

One person died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The deceased are believed to be residents of Odisha. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way.
