Telugu Film Industry Stakeholders Hold Meeting In Vizag

Visakhapatnam:Several key personalities from the Telugu film industry met in Visakhapatnam on Friday. The meeting gained significance amid a widening dispute with the Andhra Pradesh government, following the shutdown of theatres.

Notable figures, including Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, producer C. Kalyan, Sudhakar Reddy, and Bharat Bhushan, attended a meeting focused on critical issues like movie ticket pricing, theatre management, and revenue-sharing models.

After the meeting, producer C. Kalyan addressed the media and announced plans to establish a 27-member committee, comprising nine representatives each from the producers, distributors, and exhibitors’ associations.

Kalyan said, “The committee members' names will be forwarded to the government as a step towards future negotiations.” He also stated that an executive council meeting is scheduled monthly to address industry concerns and streamline operations.
