Telangana Minister Invites Naidu to Telangana Global Summit
The meeting, described as cordial, also covered several matters concerning both states.
Amaravati: Telangana minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Friday called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Undavalli and formally invited him to the upcoming Telangana Global Summit sheduled to held on December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad. The meeting, described as cordial, also covered several matters concerning both states.
Speaking to the media, Komatireddy said his visit was solely to extend a personal invitation to the AP Chief Minister. He highlighted Hyderabad’s rapid growth in the IT sector, stating that after the development of HITEC City, the adjoining Raheja Mindspace has emerged as a major employment hub with nearly five lakh employees, placing Hyderabad second only to Bengaluru.
He said the Telangana government is hosting the Global Summit on a grand scale and is inviting all state Chief Ministers. He described Naidu as a senior leader with vast administrative experience, and expressed confidence that he would attend.
The minister also referred to the booming real estate market in Telangana, noting that land prices in Kokapet have reached nearly ₹100 crore per acre. In line with this growth, the government is building a ‘Future City’ near Adibatla to expand IT and industrial corridors.
He further said a Skill University is being set up to bridge the gap between engineering education and industry requirements. “Many engineering graduates lack practical skills. We are introducing programmes to enhance their capabilities across various domains,” Komatireddy added.
