TD’s Mahanadu to be Held in Kadapa for Three Days from May 17
A report on the progress and planning by the ministers' committee will be presented at the upcoming Politburo meeting
VIJAYAWADA: Education Minister Nara Lokesh has announced that the Telugu Desam Mahanadu will be held in a festive atmosphere for three days on May 27, 28 and 29 in Kadapa.
Lokesh held a meeting with the conveners and co-conveners of the Mahanadu committees at the Telugu Desam national office in Mangalagiri on Wednesday.
He held extensive discussions with party leaders on the preparations and assigned responsibilities to several ministers and senior leaders to ensure its smooth conduct. A report on the progress and planning by the ministers' committee will be presented at the upcoming Politburo meeting.
Speaking to the media, Lokesh cited the party’s tradition of celebrating Mahanadu like a festival, eversince the days of the party founder NT Rama Rao. Even when the party was out of power, it conducted Mahanadu with unwavering spirit, he said.
The minister asked TD leaders to ensure that accommodation and transportation facilities are managed efficiently. “The three-day Mahanadu would cover a broad agenda under which, on Day 1, discussions on the party’s principles, ideology and future course of action will be held.”
On the second day, deliberations on various resolutions focusing on development and welfare programmes in the state would be held. On the third day, a massive public meeting is planned as a culmination of the events.
Lokesh said constituency-level Mahanadu events would be held before the Kadapa Mahanadu.
TD state president and MLA Palla Srinivas Rao, ministers Anagani Satyaprasad, Nimmala Ramanaidu, S Savitha, P Narayana, Gottipati Ravikumar and Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, seniors Beeda Ravichandra Yadav, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Damacharla Sathya, Reddappagari Srinivasa Reddy, Veeranki Venkata Gurumurthy, Manthena Ramaraju, C Bhupesh Reddy, MLAs Jyothula Nehru, R Madhavi Reddy, GV Anjaneyulu, Manthena Satyanarayana and others were present.
