TD MPs’ Delegation Meets PM
They expressed their concern about the impact of tariffs imposed by the US on exports from India.
Visakhapatnam:Union ministers K. Ram Mohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, along with other MPs from the Telugu Desam, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his office in New Delhi on Monday.
They expressed their concern about the impact of tariffs imposed by the US on exports from India. The MPs said these tariffs are adversely affecting Andhra Pradesh's export economy, spanning sectors such as aquaculture, fish products, chillies and other food items.
The MPs said the state government is actively exploring alternative strategies to address these challenges.
TD MP Lavu Krishnadevaraya presented the Prime Minister with a set of books documenting collaborative initiatives undertaken in conjunction with joint secretaries from various ministries. These books highlighted the successful implementation of central schemes across constituencies and the role of MPs in driving grassroots outcomes.
The MPs' delegation also thanked the PM for attending the YogaAndhra program in Visakhapatnam, describing it as a major success in promoting wellness and public engagement. They pleaded for continued and enhanced central support for the state.
