Kakinada:Telugu Desam MLA and TTD board member Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao (Nehru)’s comments about his disappointment with the party leadership has caused a flutter in the party circles.
Many senior leaders have silently approved the comments, as they feel generally ignored. They feel state government officials are not showing the required respect to TD leaders.
Addressing the Telugu Desam Min-Mahanadu in Kakinada district, Jyothula Nehru had expressed anger against the party leadership, saying it is ignoring party cadres who are facing a huge financial crisis.
The MLA said while the party’s national president (N. Chandrababu Naidu) is addressing a live conference and advising party cadres to popularise TD progress and good governance, there is no mention of how party cadres, who are finding it difficult to earn their livelihood, can mobilise money for party’s publicity.
Jyothula Nehru said some of TD’s second rung leaders had spent lakhs of rupees for the party. But they have not got any nominated post.
TD sources said Nehru’s son Jyothula Naveen Kumar had expected the DCCB chairman’s post. But it went to Jana Sena leader and KUDA chairman Tummala Babu. It is said Nehru outburst against TD could be because of this.
