Kurnool: The nomination of Telugu Desam leader K.E. Rudraphani for the ZPTC seat from Krishnagiri mandal in Pathikonda constituency was rejected during scrutiny as he did not have a vote in the rural area.

Rudraphani had been considered a strong contender for the Zilla Parishad chairperson post. He approached the High Court, which reportedly advised him to seek relief from the district collector under election rules.

He later met Kurnool collector Dr A. Siri, who reportedly said his vote could not be transferred to the rural area immediately. Election officials subsequently rejected his nomination.

Rudraphani belongs to the influential K.E. family. His father, K.E. Prabhakar, served as a minister, while his cousin, K. Shyam Kumar, is the sitting Pathikonda MLA. The rejection reportedly caused dissatisfaction within the family.
