Visakhapatnam: YSRC senior leader and MLC Botsa Satyanarayana has slammed the coalition government for lawlessness and unruly remarks being made by the ruling party leaders against women.

Speaking to media here on Friday in Visakhapatnam, Satyanarayana said that anarchy was prevailing in the state with the ruling coalition’s inefficiency in governance.

He said the crime rate has gone up in state after the coalition government took over, with rapes and assaults on women and minors increasing alarmingly. Ganja peddlers are getting the backing from the biggies in the government and are going scot free.

During the Nellore visit of our leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, police had imposed unprecedented restrictions and even dug up roads to prevent people from coming. ``This shows that the government is scared of Jagan Mohan Reddy and there is growing intolerance. When our leader went to meet former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy and former MLA N. Prasanna Kumar Reddy, the government and police behaved in a highhanded manner in trying to stall the movement of people,’’ Botsa alleged.

The language being used by TD leaders against YSRC women leaders including R.K. Roja and ZP chairperson U. Haritha showed scant respect for women.
