Tableaux Showcase AP’s Vision at 79th I-Day Celebrations
The planning department’s tableau on P4 depicted the vision of a prosperous and healthy Andhra Pradesh.
Vijayawada: The 79th Independence Day celebrations held at the IGMC Stadium, captivated audiences with a spectacular display of decorated tableaux from various government departments.
The tableaux, presented under the theme Swarna Andhra @ 2047, reflected the state’s vision for development and welfare over the coming decades. A total of 21 departments participated in the ID celebrations, each showcasing their flagship programmes and achievements.

Other notable displays included CRDA’s ‘Amaravati – From Timeless Heritage to World-Class Future’, the industries department’s Swarna Andhra 2047 – A Destination for Every Investor’, the civil supplies’ Deepam-2, RTGS’s ‘Smart Governance Through Real-Time Intelligence,’ the water resources’ Handri-Neeva to Polavaram, the Panchayat Raj and rural development’s ‘In Service of the Poor – Following Mother Earth’s Path’, the Swachh Andhra Corporation’s circular economy theme, the forest department’s Green Andhra and the transport’s ‘Stree Shakti – Free Bus Travel for Women’.
