Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebrated Across Prakasam And Nellore
In Ongole, district collector P. Rajababu and SP V. Harshavardhan Raju paid floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait at the collectorate.
Nellore: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day were observed across Prakasam and Nellore districts on Monday.
In Ongole, district collector P. Rajababu and SP V. Harshavardhan Raju paid floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait at the collectorate. The collector said Vivekananda showcased India’s culture and values to the world and urged youth to follow his ideals. The SP described Vivekananda as a lasting inspiration and said his values could guide the nation’s progress.
In Nellore, Mera Yuva Bharat and NSS jointly organised National Youth Day celebrations at Mulumudi Bus Stand. Floral tributes were offered to Vivekananda’s statue. District youth officer Akula Mahendra Reddy said Vivekananda’s teachings guide youth towards discipline and leadership, while NSS programme officer Allam Uday Shankar urged youth to practise moral values, patriotism, and service.
Youth, NSS volunteers, and officials participated in large numbers.
