Support Rahul Gandhi To Fight Vote Theft: Jagga Reddy
Jagga Reddy called upon the citizens to unite and stand against what he described as the BJP's attempt to rob them of their voting rights. Congress leaders Sheikh Mastan Vali, APCC Working President and SN Raja were present at the press meet.
VIJAYAWADA: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T. Jagga Reddy urged the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to support Rahul Gandhi in his fight against the alleged electoral misconduct of the BJP, which is in power at the Centre.
Speaking to the media at Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada on Wednesday, Jagga Reddy accused the Central Election Commissioner of being a mere puppet, reading a script written by the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He emphasised that the Election Commission of India (ECI) was failing to address crucial questions raised by Rahul Gandhi regarding vote tampering and manipulation.
“The BJP is conspiring to undermine the Constitution of India. The RSS is involved in creating counterfeit votes through its affiliated organisations. There is a concerted effort by the BJP to play with the lives of the citizens and restrict their fundamental rights," Reddy alleged.
Jagga Reddy claimed that AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy were slaves to BJP and would act to the tunes of the saffron party. He also took a dig at former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, questioning his allegiance and suggesting that he was simply repeating the BJP's narrative. He referred to Kiran Kumar as a "script reader" for the BJP, implying a lack of genuine leadership and integrity.
