Sri Sitarama Kalyanam Celebrated at Srisailam

Kurnool: In observance of Sri Rama Navami, on Sunday, the Sri Sitarama Kalyana Mahotsavam was conducted at the Sri Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple in Srisailam, a shrine affiliated to the Srisaila Devasthanam.
Temple priests and Vedic scholars performed special rituals, including Mahaganapati Puja, Punyahavachanam, Kankana Puja, Yajnopavita Puja, Varapuja, Gowri Puja, Mangalya Puja, and Talambralu, culminating in the Kalyanam ceremony.
Executive officer Srinivasa Rao and assistant executive officer Haridasu, along with temple priests, Vedic scholars and staff, participated in the festivities.
Additionally, a Pallaki Seva for Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba Ammavaru was also held in honour of the Moola Nakshatram, a regular temple seva conducted every Sunday, on full moon days, and during the Moola Nakshatram. The ceremony included rituals, Mahaganapati Puja, Shodashopachara Puja, and a procession with the ceremonial idols placed in a palanquin.
Later, the temple's executive officer, Srinivasa Rao, convened a preparatory meeting to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Kumbhotsavam. It was attended by the temple's Vedic staff, department heads, supervisors from all departments, local Tahsildar Srinivasulu, circle inspector Prasada Rao and others.
During the meeting, the EO stressed the importance of conducting all rituals meticulously during the Kumbhotsavam. He advised the temple security department in-charges to implement measures to prevent stampedes in the queue lines during the goddess Bhramaraba Devi's darshan in the evening of the Kumbhotsavam.
Executive engineer Narasimha Reddy was directed to arrange additional queue lines on the temple steps to manage the anticipated influx of devotees.
