Special Pujas Mark Sharannavaratri At Nellore Temple

NELLORE: Sri Rajarajeswari Ammavari Devasthanam at Durgamitta in Nellore witnessed a large turnout of devotees on Monday as part of the Sharannavaratri celebrations, with Goddess Rajarajeswari adorned as Sri Mahishasuramardhini Devi.
A Sampootikarana Chandi Homam was performed, along with Lalitha Kumkumarchana and Maha Nyasam at the Sri Sundareshwaraswamy temple. The Goddess was decorated with special floral arrangements, while devotees offered prayers and performed pradakshinas.
On Mahanavami, Purnahuthi was scheduled for 12.30 pm, followed by Suvasini Puja at 10.45 pm and Kalasha Udwasa between 10.56 pm and 11 pm. Cultural programmes were also organised for devotees.
On Vijayadashami, Tuesday, October 20, Mahabhishekam will be performed at 4 am, followed by the Goddess’s grand procession through the city at 9 pm, temple authorities said.
