Hyderabad: Tension erupted on Simhachalam Road, Visakhapatnam, as residents and displaced families confronted MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) officials. The demonstrators were demanding the immediate execution of a long-delayed road widening and rehabilitation resolution, referencing the approved GO.

Heated exchanges occurred as residents accused officials of bureaucratic delays, citing the formation of repeated committees and selective halting and resumption of work based on individual complaints. "We are only asking you to implement what has already been approved," the protesters insisted, conveying deep frustration that these delays were costing them their livelihoods.

The displaced residents stood firm, demanding swift action. They stated they had worked hard for years to secure the official approval and would no longer tolerate the civic authorities' indecision. MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao attempted to calm the crowd, promising to contact the GVMC Commissioner immediately to ensure a resolution.
