Shepherd and sheep killed in accident

Kurnool: A 22-year-old shepherd Lingappa died on Sunday when a speeding truck ran over him and his herd near Mugathi in Nandavaram mandal of Yemmiganur constituency.

Lingappa had been moving the livestock to grazing areas when the truck struck them on the main road, resulting in his death and that of four sheep. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Local police have shifted the dead body to Yemmiganur Government Hospital for post-mortem and have registered a case.
