Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall across several parts of the state on Tuesday, with rains expected to continue for the next two days.

Several districts in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning. Rainfall is expected in Nandyal, Anantapur, Chittoor and Tirupati districts.

According to the weather forecast, several coastal districts may receive light to moderate showers during the day and evening hours. Some parts of Rayalaseema are also likely to witness thunderstorms and lightning.

Residents have been advised to remain cautious during thunderstorms, particularly in open areas. Farmers working in agricultural fields are also advised to take necessary precautions and avoid staying in open fields during lightning activity.

Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed Visakhapatnam and Gajuwaka on Sunday, with several areas inundated following persistent downpours. Waterlogging was reported in several parts of the city, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents.
