Vijayawada:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would make field visits from next month to review the implementation of several schemes and programmes and ascertain how the intended beneficiaries are gaining from these.

Naidu chaired a review meeting at the secretariat to and also evaluated the functioning of the Real Time Governance System with information minister Kolusu Parthasarathi and officials from IT, RTGS, excise and groundwater departments on Wednesday.

He said, “I am going to visit places and inspect whether the benefits of the welfare schemes are reaching every eligible citizen.”

Naidu inquired about the feedback from the people on implementation of GST 2.0 reforms. He noted that an awareness drive was being taken up with the title ‘Super GST-Super Savings’ from Sept 22 in the state. There, he said, should be an extensive awareness campaign after Diwali festival on how the taxes were reduced. He wanted the GST 2.0 reforms to be screened in the form of slides in film theatres.

The CM said the satisfaction levels of the people would be assessed through technology auditing. The information being provided by the officials and the ground reality would be juxtaposed.

He said, “Our aim is to ensure that the common people are provided with better services by implementing the ‘One Government-One Citizen’ initiative in an efficient manner. We will review the working performance of the ministers, secretaries and the district collectors in the first week of November.”

Naidu called for usage of the Incident Management System to inspect various incidents and ensure quick relief to the victims. Officials should not trouble vehicle users by imposing challans for violation of vehicular traffic norms, he said.

He denounced the “misinformation campaign” on development of medical colleges under PPP mode and said the government would ensure that this benefitted the state by way of getting additional seats and the poor students got quality education.
