RISE Centre To Boost Women Entrepreneurship
The collector visited the Centre at Guntupalli in Ibrahimpatnam mandal along with officials, where a special visit was organised for SHG women from across the mandal
Vijayawada: NTR district collector G. Lakshmisha on Monday said the Rural Incubation, Skilling and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Centre would support the entrepreneurial aspirations of women from self-help groups (SHGs) and urged them to make full use of the training and resources available.
The collector visited the Centre at Guntupalli in Ibrahimpatnam mandal along with officials, where a special visit was organised for SHG women from across the mandal. He said an Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) workshop had been conducted for 331 SHG women in the mandal.
Lakshmisha assured continued administrative support to help women emerge as entrepreneurs, adding that comprehensive training would be provided in skill development, marketing, finance and the use of social media.
He also said a manager has been appointed to oversee the RISE Centre, which is equipped with internet and computer facilities.
