Resurvey To Be Completed In One Year: Atchannaidu
Atchannaidu distributed pattadar passbooks to farmers and assured that any errors in the new passbooks would be rectified immediately. He said the new passbooks would carry the government emblem and be printed using advanced technology in Chennai.
Visakhapatnam: Minister for agriculture Kinjarapu Atchannaidu on Friday said the state government would complete the land resurvey process within one year, as directed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing a revenue gram sabha at Akkayyavalasa in Kotabommali mandal of Srikakulam district, the minister said the previous government had “completely damaged” the revenue system, resulting in nearly 90 per cent of petitions at Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) meetings being related to land issues.
He said thousands of farmers were put to hardship due to errors in the earlier resurvey. “The district collector and I sat together and resolved nearly 4,000 survey-related issues in a single day,” he said.
Atchannaidu distributed pattadar passbooks to farmers and assured that any errors in the new passbooks would be rectified immediately. He said the new passbooks would carry the government emblem and be printed using advanced technology in Chennai.
“These passport-like passbooks will be delivered to farmers’ homes. Land details can be accessed instantly by scanning the QR code. If a third party scans it, the landowner will receive an alert on their mobile phone,” he explained.
On allegations of government land grabbing in Tekkali, the minister said strict action would be taken against those involved.
