Resurvey of Antarvedi Temple Lands Gains Speed

Reviewing on the resurvey of land progress, Nishanthi on Tuesday said that the revenue, endowment and survey and land records officials should complete the resurvey of the lands quickly in the wake of complaints received from devotees regarding delay in the resurvey of the temple lands.

 Kakinada: B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district Collector T. Nishanthi instructed the officials to expedite the resurvey process of the famous Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple lands at Antarvedi in Sakhinetipalli in the district.

Reviewing on the resurvey of land progress, Nishanthi on Tuesday said that the revenue, endowment and survey and land records officials should complete the resurvey of the lands quickly in the wake of complaints received from devotees regarding delay in the resurvey of the temple lands.

She said the temple has a total of 895 acres of land in esavadlntarvedi and Shringavarappadu Gondi villages, but the executive officer revealed that 726 acres of the land is coconut plantations, aqua ponds and agricultural lands and income being generated through various types of rents and leases. She said that the remaining 139 acres are under the direct control of the temple and the resurvey of 500 acres of these lands is still pending. She also instructed the officials to attend the 2nd review meeting on the matter to be held on August 5 with comprehensive reports on the total details of the lands, lease documents, and the status of implementation of past decisions. District revenue officer Rajakumari, RDO K. Madhavi, assistant commissioner of endowments V.Satyanarayana, survey assistant director K. Prabhakar and others were present.
