Rape under pretext of taking to movie

Tirupati: A distressing incident has emerged from Karvetinagaram mandal in Chittoor district where a young woman was allegedly raped by a man under the pretence of going to watch a movie.
The 17-year-old victim from Katterapalli village, Karvetinagaram mandal, was misled to a field en route to Pallipattu, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday night with the promise of attending a movie. Instead, she was subjected to the horrific crime at that location.
The incident was reported after the victim's father filed a complaint with the Karvetinagaram police. A case has been registered, and the police, led by sub-inspector Rajkumar, are actively investigating. They have promised that the accused will be arrested and interrogated.
