Visakhapatnam: The parents of techie Radha Gayathri, who died under suspicious circumstances in Mussoorie, met Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday and sought the state government’s support in the case. The Home Minister, in a statement on the X platform, posted that the state's in-charge Joint Commissioner of Police had already spoken with the Mussoorie police and gathered details. Assurances were given that our government will extend full cooperation in every possible way to ensure justice is served to the affected family," she wrote

P. Sudhakar and Satyavathi told the media after the meeting that the Home Minister responded positively. She informed them that the in-charge Joint Commissioner of Police had already spoken with the Mussoorie police and gathered details of the case. “Her reassurance has given us courage. We want justice for Radha Gayathri’s death,” the parents said. They accused her husband, Sricharan, of wrongdoing and questioned why he was evading the police and the media.

Addressing reporters after meeting the family, Anitha said, “The parents’ pain is beyond words.” She added that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is personally monitoring the case and has directed the AP DGP to speak with the Uttarakhand DGP. “The family has raised several doubts about Radha Gayathri’s death. The truth behind her death must come out, and the accused should face strict punishment,” the Home Minister said, reiterating that the state government would extend complete assistance to the parents.

On Friday, the couple had met Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police Shankha Brata Bagchi and briefed him on the sequence of events leading to their daughter’s death in Mussoorie.
