Preparations for Sambara Polamamba Jatara underway in Manyam

Visakhapatnam: Manyam district collector A. Shyam Prasad has directed officials to expedite preparations for the Sambara Polamamba Jatara, scheduled from January 27 to 29. During a review meeting on Thursday, the collector stressed the importance of ensuring the success of this major North Andhra festival.
Key measures include uninterrupted drinking water, adequate toilets, and proper power supply. Walking paths and queue lines must be cleared of obstructions, and designated areas for retail shops should be established. Sanitation standards were also highlighted.
Medical camps and sufficient public transport will be arranged, with specific attention to bathing and cooking facilities at the Gomukhi River. Security measures include a control room and signboards. Exhibition halls showcasing government development programs will also be set up.
The meeting was attended by ITDA project officer Ashutosh Srivastava and district medical and health officer S. Bhaskara Rao.
