Prashanthi Reddy to Hold Weekly Public Grievance Sessions
TD leader vows transparent governance, urges cadre to serve people and strengthen the party.
Nellore: Telugu Desam MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy announced that she will conduct weekly public grievance sessions to directly address people’s issues at the grassroots level.
She said the sessions, to be held in coordination with village secretariat staff, are part of her commitment to ensure transparent governance and effective public service — in line with the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the guidance of Minister Nara Lokesh.
Speaking at an oath-taking ceremony for TD’s new mandal and village committees held at Rukmini Kalyana Mandapam in Kovvur, Prashanthi Reddy emphasised that dedicated party workers are the true strength and leadership of the Telugu Desam.
“In our party, the worker is the leader. It is the cadre’s hard work and commitment that keep the TD flag flying in every village,” she said.
She urged all newly appointed leaders to devote one day each week to party activities, work closely with local secretariat officials to solve public issues, and actively promote the party’s ideology and welfare initiatives among the people.
The MLA lauded late N.T. Rama Rao for laying the foundation of the Telugu Desam to uphold the self-respect and pride of the Telugu people, describing it as the only party in India to have truly implemented social justice.
She also praised Lokesh as a youth icon who combines NTR’s blessings with Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership qualities. “Chandrababu Naidu’s tireless efforts for the state’s future should inspire every TD worker,” she said.
The event featured the unfurling of the TD flag, a cake-cutting ceremony, and floral tributes to NTR’s statue. Senior activists who have served the party since 1983 were felicitated with shawls. TD district president Abdul Aziz, senior leaders, and representatives from five mandals across the Kovvur constituency participated in the programme.
