Announcing the initiative, district collector A. Thameem Ansariya said the extensive yoga awareness programmes are being conducted across the district as part of the Yoga Month celebrations. The goal: to integrate yoga into daily life for people of all ages and backgrounds.

On Saturday morning, a “Yoga Road” was inaugurated in front of the Prakasam Bhavan, where collector Ansariya, Mayor Gangada Sujatha, joint-collector R. Leading up to June 21, daily yoga awareness events will be held in the district. In all major municipalities and mandal headquarters, one road in each area is being designated a “Yoga Road”, where sessions will be conducted every morning to promote practice and awareness.

To ensure the programme’s reach and effectiveness, the district has identified and trained 100 master trainers, and an additional 200 trainers at the mandal level are being oriented through special two-day workshops.

Collector Ansariya has called on all citizens to embrace yoga as a lifestyle, not just an occasional activity. She also extended congratulations to everyone who actively participated and contributed to the success of the Yoga Road initiative.
