KAKINADA: Konaseema district superintendent of police Rahul Meena has instructed police officials to identify accident-prone areas and take steps to reduce road accidents.

Chairing a crime review meeting on Saturday, the SP directed officials to intensify patrolling to prevent burglaries as people travel to their native places during the Sankranti festival.

He also ordered strict action against anti-social activities and gambling, including cockfights and card games, during the festive season. He appealed to the public to remain vigilant and inform the police immediately if they notice suspicious movements or incidents.

The SP further instructed officers to complete investigations into old and pending cases on a war footing to ensure speedy justice to victims.

Amalapuram DSP T.S.R.K. Prasad, Kothapeta DSP Sunkara Murali Mohan, Ramachandrapuram DSP Raghuveer, DCRB circle inspector Murali Krishna and others were present.
