Pemmasani Urges Students To Pursue Advanced Courses, Sharpen Expertise

Union minister of state for rural development and communications Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar on Saturday urged students to prepare for a fast-changing world by pursuing advanced courses and sharpening their expertise.

He was the chief guest at the ‘Yuvatha Bhavithaku Bharosa’ programme at RVR&JC Engineering College, Chodavaram, in Prathipadu constituency, along with local MLA B. Ramanjaneyulu.

Dr Chandrasekhar said artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud computing and data analytics were opening new opportunities in India and across the globe. He said an engineering degree alone might no longer be sufficient and stressed the need for specialised courses and regular practice.

“Do not fear artificial intelligence. Dedicate two hours daily to your chosen subject and you will become an expert,” he advised.

He recalled how N. Chandrababu Naidu had laid the foundation for many students now working in the American IT sector and stressed the importance of discipline and resourcefulness, pointing to the availability of online tutorials.

The minister criticised attempts to mislead youth through social media and alleged irregularities in past recruitments by the YSR Congress. He defended the filling of 16,000 DSC posts as transparent and challenged opponents to present evidence of wrongdoing. He warned that distancing from leaders who genuinely care for students’ futures could bring serious setbacks.

MLA Ramamjaneyulu praised the college management for running the institution, likening it to “walking on the edge of a sword.” He lauded Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to women’s advancement and employment generation and highlighted Education Minister Nara Lokesh’s move to fill more than 16,000 DSC posts at once.

“The coalition government will always stand by hardworking students and the unemployed,” he declared.
