Visakhapatnam: Gandi Babji, district TD president and chairman of the State Co-operative Oil Seeds Growers Federation, officially handed over the B form to Peela Srinivasa Rao, the party’s candidate for GVMC mayor, at the district office on Sunday. Babji stated that this leadership change is aimed at accelerating Visakhapatnam’s development and is a strategic move to benefit the city.
He criticised the previous YSRC administration, highlighting the significant challenges faced by the state during their five-year rule. Babji noted that Visakhapatnam’s progress had been stalled during the GVMC’s four-year term under YSRC leadership. Expressing optimism about the alliance’s future, he asserted that the newly appointed mayor would play a vital role in driving the city’s growth and ensuring better governance.
