Pawan Moves Delhi HC To Protect His Personality Rights
Pawan Kalyan’s senior counsel J. Sai Deepak submitted that his client is aggrieved by AI videos circulated on Google, Meta and e-commerce platforms impersonating fake association of the popular Telugu actor.
Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Friday moved the Delhi High Court seeking its intervention in protecting his personality rights. The court has directed social media platforms to comply in this regard.
After hearing Pawan Kalyan plea, Delhi High Court judge Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora took into cognisance AP Deputy CM already writing to social media platforms, asking them to take cognisance of actor Ajay Devgan’s case.
Pawan Kalyan’s senior counsel J. Sai Deepak submitted that his client is aggrieved by AI videos circulated on Google, Meta and e-commerce platforms impersonating fake association of the popular Telugu actor.
Following this, the Delhi High Court directed that the Deputy Chief Minister of AP DY be provided the infringing links and all relevant information within 48 hours to enable him to take action as per IT Rules, 2021.
Further, the court directed social media platforms – Google and Meta, to take other relevant action within a week and posted the manner for next hearing on December 22.
